Update from the Superintendent - November 16th
Posted 11/16/20

Hello Scotts Valley Community,

As you are aware, Santa Cruz County was identified to move into the purple tier today which may change our timeline for hybrid instruction. However, even in the purple tier, we are able to continue with small group in-person support. As many of you know, we are in discussions with our teachers and we are preparing the hybrid schedules for when we are able to transition to that type of  instruction. Additionally, site administration will be sending out parent surveys, or have recently done so, and we ask that you complete those surveys with the assumption that we would be in a colored tier that allows us to implement a hybrid schedule.

I acknowledge this continual change is exhausting for all of our families as well as for our staff. We will continue to stay on our current course up to winter break, unless directed to change this course by local and state officials.

I sincerely hope our community adheres to the safety precautions that are advised, which will help us move back to fewer restrictions.

Here is the County Superintendents’ letter as well as the Press Release from the Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency.

Thank you for continuing to support your children.

Sincerely,

Tanya Krause
