New News!

Our Dolphin 6th grade Volleyball team won all their league games and took championship title in the Branciforte Post-Season Tournament!

After a big win over the Mission Hill Blue team on Wednesday, March 14th, the Dolphins faced the Panthers in Day 2 of the post-season tournament on Thursday.  The first set held us breathless and nail biting as the Panthers slouthed their way into Dolphin territory coming up too close for comfort.  With just a one point spread at 24 after Grace's 4 point ace serves, SLV got the ball.  Lauren killed the Panthers at their 25.  Paige kept up the pressure and served up aces to 27!  Game two featured Grace with a 9 point serving streak and Kesha taking over with 6 points of her own.   Natalia came in for the win!  So, on to the championship on Friday!

Because the Dolphins succumbed  to the Mavericks in their big wave territory the week before for a scrimmage, SVMS got off to a slow start. Mission Hill came on strong and hard with their serves, passing and kills and the first set ended in a 13 to 25 loss for SVMS.

Paige and Grace were on fire with their serving for set 2 with an 11point serving streak for Grace.  Marissa T. had excellent passing with a kill and birthday girl Qynn along with Emma and Lauren killed it twice each!  The girls woke up and won 25 to 17.

Set 3 had us serving so big the Mavericks could not catch up.  Final score was 15 - 10, Scotts Valley!

It has been a wonderful season ladies and Coach Black is very proud of each and everyone of you!

Congratulations to the 6th grade Lady Dolphin Volleyball Team who drowned the Sharks in two games on Tuesday, March 13th taking 1st place in the league!  Maybelle had an awesome serving streak of 7!  Lily made some great passes and aced one over and Paige and Lauren killed it several times!  All in all the whole team played really well and now they look forward to their post-season tournament at B40 starting Wednesday, March 14th.  Game time is 5pm.

The 7th grade girls lost in 3 games to Shoreline last night despite a commanding win in game one. The Dolphins took the lead early with an impressive serving streak from Alex while Aliyah and Chiara added some strong net play to help the Dolphins try to hang on. But the sharks bite was just too much for the dolphins to handle. With only 2 regular season losses, the Lady dolphins enter the post season playoffs on Monday ready to fight for it all!

The 8th grade girls had a strong win and sank the Shoreline Sharks last night in a two game match. Jordan had an 8 point serving streak, Ruby servied up 4 aces and Maddy Razz had 3 aces. Kiana led the team with 4 assists, and Kayla and Sierra crushed it at the net.

The 8th graders travel to Shoreline again on Wednesday, March 14th for the end of season tournament.  Game time is 6pm.

Wrestling starts Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at 5pm, Scotts Valley High School Wrestling Room

You MUST have a completed packet (Health/Code of Conduct/Donation forms) to enter that gym.

It is NOT too late to begin wrestling!

Congratulations to those girls that tried out and made the volleyball teams!

Health Forms

Wouldn't it be nice.....

Wouldn't it be nice if in our near future we (SVMS)

did not have to ask you for donations to keep our

School Sports Programs

After school sports are very important to the growth and development of many students. Lessons learned from participating in school athletics are priceless! These include learning new skills, discipline, camaraderie, school spirit and a sense of belonging.

Scotts Valley Middle School does not receive state or district funding for after school sports.  It costs approximately $100.00 per athlete to run each team.

Your $100.00 donation helps fund CCAL tournament and referee fees, coaches stipends, equipment, uniforms and their maintenance.

Another alternative to your donation is to fundraise by either purchasing or selling two or more Covello and Covello Photography Coupons, each redeemable for an 8x10 Studio Family Session, or, working Bingo when we open.

We know your time is valuable so instead of fundraising, we simply ask, if it is possible, that you donate funds to help support our award winning, precious athletic program!

It takes a village!

Thank you so much for your support!

Code of Conduct

Must be received in the office

To getting your uniforms and playing your
